First opened in 1968 and then closed for re-development in 2012, Hotel Grand Central reopened 21st October 2015 with 262 brand new rooms.
The hotel is located on the Orchard Road shopping belt, a stone throw away from major shopping centres such as Centrepoint, Orchard Central, 313@Somerset, Orchard Gateway and Plaza Singapura. THe property is also centered between two major Mass Rapid Transit Stations, the Dhoby Ghaut and Somerset Stations. In fact, the Dhoby Ghaut is a major inter-change station allowing tourists to explore the Civic District, the Central Business District and the Marina Bay District with a quick train ride of only 3 to 4 stops.
